Ffmpeg For Mac Os X

  1. Audacity for Mac is for OS X 10.6 and later. Audacity runs best with at least 1 GB RAM and a 1 GHz processor (2 GB RAM/2 GHz on OS X 10.7 and later). For lengthy multi-track projects, we recommend a minimum of 2 GB RAM and 2 GHz processor (4 GB RAM on OS X 10.7 and later).
  2. Intel Macs with OS X 10.6 and above are here; Intel Macs with OS X 10.5 or PPC Macs are here; Another method to obtain FFmpeg, although more difficult, is to compile your own using the MacPorts application. This may yield slightly faster transcoding speeds. Look at MacOSXInstall#FFmpegInstallationwithMacPorts for basic instructions.
